Another rare one presented by @Flyingharuka and @jiagm.
This version has the famous "Epson check" that prevents it to run under non-NEC PC-98xx compatibles and non-NEC DOS. For emulators, only use NP21 with NEC BIOS files to run this.
The updater disks could be used for updating the install disks or installed copies, however it's not known that which files does it update.
This copy includes installer disks for Multimedia Extensions, which is the only stand-alone installer of Windows Multimedia Extensions on the Internet. It supports NEC's CD-ROM, Laser Disc, video deck / video card and PC-9801-73 sound board. However, according to my test this MME would not run correctly under all PC-98 emulators as none of them support accurate timing and the PC-9801-73 board (The more common PC-9801-86 is not fully backward compatible with 73).

BTW, do your contacts happen to have anything like MS-DOS 6.0 Japanese for either PC or PC-98, or Windows 3.0 Japanese for PC? As those would be very nice to have as well.

NEC didn't release 6.00 for PC-98xx, only 6.20...
Do not expect so much for PC Compatible Windows 3.0 as IBM PC compatibles had almost zero Japanese market share in 1990-1991...

NEC didn't release 6.00 for PC-98xx, only 6.20...
Do not expect so much for PC Compatible Windows 3.0 as IBM PC compatibles had almost zero Japanese market share in 1990-1991...
MS-DOS 6.00 for PC-98 does exist, I've seen screenshots of it.

Well, here: http://okwave.jp/qa/q573889.html people say MS-DOS 6.0/V existed for PC. And The Distractor has a screenshot of MS-DOS 6.0 for the Fujitsu FMR-50. I just don't see why they wouldn't have released it for PC-98 too.
Prior to Windows 95 Microsoft itself never releases MS-DOS for any of those non-IBM-compatible Japanese x86 systems. The system vendors buy the rights to the MS-DOS source, tweak it for their own architecture and release their own MS-DOS. For PC-98xx, the official vendor NEC released MS-DOS 2.10, 4 or 5 editions of MS-DOS 3.30, 2 editions of MS-DOS 5.00 and 1 edition of MS-DOS 6.2 (no records found for their 6.0). Epson released their own different MS-DOS 3.30, 4.01, 5.00, 5.00 release 2, 6.0 and 6.2 for their PC-98xx compatible PC-x86 series.
The MS-DOS 6.0 for PC-98xx compatibles does exist, however it's EPSON MS-DOS 6.0.

Ahhh OK, well any way to get the EPSON MS-DOS 4.01 and 6.00 for PC-98? Also MS-DOS 6.0/V, PC-DOS 4.0/V, PC-DOS 6.1/V, and PC-DOS 6.3/V for PC would be nice too. And actual installation disks of Windows 1.03 for PC-98.
