Ronald Araujo has made it clear just how happy he is to be at Barcelona amid speculation Bayern Munich are keen on the defender.

Barcelona are thought to be keen to offer Araujo a contract extension in a bid to keep him at the club, and it doesn’t sound like he’ll need much convincing to put pen to paper.

“It’s so special to be at Barça and have the chance to be the captain. I’m proud and I also feel responsible,” he said.

“We are happy because we were able to fulfill the first objective of the team and the club, which was to qualify for the round of 16.

“It was an essential match and we are happy, but now we have to continue. We have many challenges ahead of us and we are prepared for it.”

Araujo wore the captain’s armband against Porto, with Sergi Roberto and Marc-Andre ter Stegen out injured, and you have to admit that it really suited him.
