All Boys Aren’t Blue: A Memoir-Manifesto–George M. Johnson in conversation with Kimberly Latrice Jones

Charis and Auburn Avenue Research Library welcome George M. Johnson in conversation with Kimberly Latrice Jones for a discussion of All Boys Aren’t Blue: A Memoir-Manifesto. In a series of personal essays, prominent journalist and LGBTQIA+ activist George M. Johnson’s All Boys Aren’t Blue explores his childhood, adolescence, and college years in New Jersey and Virginia. This event is co-sponsored by the Counter Narrative Project (CNP). CNP seeks to shift narratives about Black gay and queer men to change policy and improve lives. CNP stands in the tradition of Marlon Riggs, Essex Hemphill, Joseph Beam, James Baldwin, and Bayard Rustin.
