Well Outrun 2 is originally on the Chihiro.
On top of that ive only ever seen cabs (at least here in america) using that version.
Little tough to see what version of the machine that is, but it looks like the generic sega driver body of the time so chihiro would probably be the most appropriate thing to put in

Did you get the monitors with these?

Not a problem… with the thread i sent you, you can rebuild the while thing. A lot of people are looking for what you have for that exact purpose!

Hi again
I need to ask you about inside the cabinet. This week, i get 2 chihiros, and one of them without the AV cable. I need to buy one avip cable fron anywere. At this point, i need photos of inside a original cabinet to find wich parts i need to find. I dont have chihiros power supply, but i dont know if also need 12v transformer or not. This one:

If any one of you, have this cabbinet, and can post some photos from inside, it will be very nice.

Also i have the big problem to find 2 monitors. Im thinking about get 2 LCD´s ones, but i dont know if it will work or maybe not great idea. 2 CRT is not easy to find rigth now.
Also.... i want to put speakers inside the seats and down, but no idea where to find.

Thanks a lot

Even though it's a pain, it's probably a lot easier to do like I did and follow the otaku wiki (https://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Sega_Chihiro) which says:

To make this cable, you only need a few parts:

Any Xbox AV cable (ebay, 10$)
3M MDR 10126-3000PE connector (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/3m/10126-3000PE/773864)
3M 10326-3210-000 housing (optional) (https://www.digikey.com/en/products...04?s=N4IgTCBcDaIMwFkAEBGADHMA2AtJ9OaRSIAugL5A)
some thin-gauge wire

Then, get your soldering iron and connect the terminals as such:

ended up looking (and working on first try!) like this after I wrapped them in "heatshrink condom" :

No, you don't need that extra 12VDC PSU.

There's a manual for OutRun 2 Twin here:

https://usermanual.wiki/Arcade/Outrun2SpTwinManual.1838988965/view

Scroll down to Page 128 for parts.

Ok, thanks very much. I see in this part, i need the chihiro power only.

Thanks very much

I found this in an old arcade place. The owner kept them in the storage and he sold them to me no to expensive. It was like 300$ more or less for all this:

As you can see, I’m missing one av cable, and all the gd-room cables. I need to find more cables 🤦🏻‍♂️
P.D.: one it’s export and one is Japanese. I don’t know how it’s posible. 🤔 maybe the other export died in some time and he bought this japanese version to a reseller or something like this.

PD2: He didn’t want give to me cables or power supply. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You dont need the gdroms or their cables: you can load up the games netbooting.

powersupply: computer power supply will do. You’ll need the 0.59$ connectors and pins. Ill post the digikey parts numbers if you want :)

you CAN do this!

Please, for sure! All info it’s well come! I’m very lost in this part of the project.
I need help with this, with the sound, with LCD conversion…. Etc
This project will be hard

The power connector are JST_VL (https://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/JST_VL)
Digikey is out of the connectors (and pins!) right now but you'll need 1 VLP-06V and one VLP-08V with at least 14 SVF-61T-P2.0 pins.

Then it's just the matter of using a computer power supply to map these :

yes, same connection on both Naomi and Chihiro.

Next you're going to read THIS THREAD a few times.

for the Zero Key, you want this thread if you have a burner, or you can buy them on ebay for ~ 10$.

Starting to see it all running? :)

Thanks for the help. You are the big master xD

Ok, im going to read the linked post. In a fast look, i see the net dimm - Raspberry system. The point is.... i only have one Net dimm. So one side cabinet will run all the games from net dimm and the one side only will run the Outrun 2 game from the GD-ROM, BUT its ok for me!!!

At the question... "Starting to see all running", well i think the SYSTEM its so close to be completed, but still no monitors, no speakers, and more things that still we dont know xD
Lets do all step by step and maybe this year we can see all runing

Hey
I just find a AV cable in a store in UK, i will make the order and only need to wait for the shipment and pay the fees / import taxes. I think its better and easyer for me the original cable :D
But anyway I keep the information in case any of the cables breaks in the future. You never know.

Well
This pcb, supose to be the LINK? i think no. Maybe i need to find the pcb to link machine 1 with 2.

yesterday i was cheacking cabinets again, and still a lot of work to have all the hardware. I dont know how i will solve the monitors problem....

Those boards can only be found in European cabs. It has test, service and demag buttons, volume pots and a credit board for the coin mech.

If you need to link the motherboards, you just need to connect them together with an ethernet cable (crossover will definitely work, maybe a straight through one will too) and set the network options in the test menu on both sides.
