Austrolebias paucisquama 'TT S�o Sep� DN 08-09'

We offer 50 handpicked eggs in peat.

This killifish was discovered in September 2004 on the southernmost tip of Brazil near Uruguay. To date, no other localitys are known. So that the existence of these beautiful fish does not depend on the continuity of a single locality, it would be nice if this species could be spread in aquaristics.

According to own experience these killifish reaches a maximum length of 5 cm, which can be kept in pairs or trios in a 12-litre tank. The eggs require a diapause of at least 3 months for the development of the juveniles. Watering the eggs with clean rainwater, the juveniles will hatch after 1 to 3 hours and eat from the beginning freshly hatched artemia-nauplii.
