Former Milan city councillor and
centre-right Forza Italia (FI) former Lombardy deputy
coordinator Pietro Tatarella and Lombardy councillor and fellow
FI member Fabio Altitonante were acquitted in the so-called
'mensa dei poveri' (soup kitchen) Lombardy-EU kickbacks trial on
Monday, along with 50 others.
FI MEP Lara Comi got four years and two months in the case.
Others acquitted included the former owner of the Tigros
supermarket chain, Paolo Orrigoni,
Former FI MP Diego Sottani got one year and one month, a
suspended sentence.
