Bought this a while ago for our family game nights. So, much fun. Easy to play with kids of all ages. Codenames itself is a pretty easy to explain game when bringing in new people, and the disney edition makes it accessible to families and young kids that otherwise couldn't play the traditional version. Also the pictures create opportunities for fun different interpretations of clues which adds to the replayability of this game

My wife really enjoys playing games and board games with the family and this was a great addition to her collection. If you are familiar with the original game you won't be surprised to find this is exactly the same except with the expected Disney pictures. The pictures help expand the age ranges you can play this with since reading isn't required. We enjoyed this version and plan to try playing it with the other version we already have and do a mix of cards from each deck. A great pick for a family game.

You’d think family = easy, but no

My family plays code names pretty often, and many of us are also huge Disney fans, so when we saw this it was a no brainer. We had some reservations about it being more for the kids (our family is older now), but tried it for the first time over the 4th of July weekend, and we couldn’t have been more surprised by how it seemed HARDER than normal codenames, while still being possible to play with kids. Yes, that seems like an impossible combination, but it really came down to having a lot of similar words/themes with the cards, so it was hard to make a multi-card word work without potentially giving away points. However, a younger player could still go with single-card words (or use the pictures on the opposite side even) and still play with everyone else.
So far we’ve been pleasantly surprised, and look forward to playing this version again soon.

I am a big fan of the original Codenames. I ordered this one because I’m a big Disney fan too. The pictures are beautiful. The game is week designed, as expected. But I was surprised because for some reason this version seems harder to play than the original. We also got a copy for a family with 3 kids ages 8 to 13 and they had similar problems. Still, as always with codenames, you can’t help but laugh and have a good time together. So it was a success.

This board game is super fun for 2+ people. It came in excellent condition and really quickly. I highly recommend it for kids and adults. I play Codenames with other adults and we have a great time. The Disney addition is fun and easy to learn as well. It has two sets of cards to make games easier or harder depending on the audience (4x4 squares or 5x5 squares with a bad guy).
