About the Artists: The Three Tenors
The Three Tenors were a popular operatic singing group during the 1990s and early 2000s, consisting of Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, and Luciano Pavarotti.
The trio began their collaboration with a performance at the ancient Baths of Caracalla in Rome, Italy, on 7 July 1990, the eve of the 1990 FIFA World Cup Final. The image of three tenors in formal evening dress singing in a World Cup concert captivated the global audience. The recording of their debut concert became the best-selling classical album of all time and led to additional studio recordings and live performances, including the World Cup Finals in Los Angeles (1994), Paris (1998), and Yokohama (2002).
Luciano Pavarotti
Luciano Pavarotti was an Italian operatic tenor, known as one of the most acclaimed and loved tenors of all time. He made numerous recordings of complete operas and individual arias, gaining worldwide fame for the quality of his tone, and eventually established himself as one of the finest tenors of the 20th century, achieving the honorific title the "King of the High C's".
José Carreras
José Carreras is a Spanish operatic tenor who is particularly known for his performances in the operas of Donizetti, Verdi and Puccini. Following his own recovery from leukaemia, Carreras sought both to repay the debt he owed to medical science and to improve the lives and care of other leukaemia sufferers. On 14 July 1988, he established the Fundació Internacional Josep Carreras per a la Lluita contra la Leucèmia — known in English as the José Carreras International Leukaemia Foundation.
Placido Domingo
Plácido Domingo is a Spanish opera singer, conductor and arts administrator. He has recorded over a hundred complete operas and is well known for his versatility, regularly performing in Italian, French, German, Spanish, English and Russian in the most prestigious opera houses in the world. Although primarily a lirico-spinto tenor for most of his career, he quickly moved into more dramatic roles, becoming the most acclaimed Otello of his generation. As of 2020, Domingo has performed 151 different roles.
Zubin Mehta
Zubin Mehta is a world-renowned conductor of Western and Eastern classical music. He currently is the music director emeritus of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) and conductor emeritus of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

It's nice to have Korean subtitles.
Not in a million years. No matter how good it is, which --- in light of no reviews of the blu-ray quality ---is unknown. I'll stick with the CD.
