I've owned an air fryer for several years, but it's use was limited. As a family of four, the 6 quart fryer I had just wasn't big enough for anything other than snacks, unless you didn't mind having to cook in rounds, with half of the family ending up with hot food and the other half eating the cold food from the first round. I held off on buying a larger capacity fryer because they all seemed so bulky for small small kitchen.
I took a shot on this one to match my stainless steel appliances, but the included rack is what sold me initially. Now I could cook enough for the whole family to eat hot food together!
Funny, at almost double capacity, it's much smaller than my previous fryer. It's also much nicer looking, so I don't feel the need to store it in a cupboard when not in use.
It heats up quickly, cooks food evenly and cleans up easily. It's nearly silent, I actually thought it wasn't working when I first used it! Even the timer beep is nearly silent, which may bother some, but I appreciate the quiet alert rather than the obnoxious alarm.
I've only had this a few weeks, but I have used it nearly every day so far. It's so user friendly that my kids have zero trouble navigating it to cook a meal or a snack when I'm not home. We've used it for pork (cops and a 2 lb. loin), chicken (legs, breast and reheating a whole, intact rotisserie), veggies, fish, garlic bread, pizza rolls, bacon, hot pockets, and more.
I'm more than pleased with this fryer, and the included 1 year warranty gives me peace of mind that we'll be enjoying this for quite some time!
