Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I had the Jurassic Park game on my old Sega Genesis, and it was pretty good at best. From what I remember it became quite repetitive after a while, but it was still a fun game to play. ( and it had great graphics for the day ) The Lost World: Jurassic Park, is a game I just bought on line about a year ago, and " boy howdies" was I ever pleasantly surprised at how fun it is. JP is a side-scrolling masterpiece of a game. There are five playable characters, each with their own strengths and abilities. Two are people, ( a hunter and a scientist, or "prey" ) and three as dinosaurs. ( a Compy, a Raptor, and a T-Rex ) When you beat the levels with your Compy ( Compsognathus ) you access new characters and levels to play, and you also move up the food chain! There are many power-ups and weapons you can collect to help you on your way, and when you collect enough DNA keys you get extra bonuses. When you play as a human, you have at your disposal many goodies to protect yourself with. You might even say, you're loaded for bear! ( or dinosaurs ) You have: Tranquilizer Darts, Rapid Fire Ammo, Grenades, Nerve Gas, ( I like! ) RPG's, Flame Throwers, ( I love! ) and rescue Flares. When you play as a dino you have Partial Instinct Boost, Full Instinct Boost, 1-Up's, Health Boost, DNA Keys, and any thing you can find to kill and eat! ( "BURP" ) And if every bonus is found a secret ending to the game will become accessible. ( ooooooh ) To make the game different, when you play the " Human Hunter " you battle it out in an underground complex, volcanoes, and labs. If I was to complain about anything ( but I'm not ) it would be that the control could be tweaked a bit tighter but it's still not to bad, and there are only seven levels for the T-Rex to play on. ( and he's my favorite! ) The powers that be in the day ( GameSpot, E G M, and GamePro ) said that JP for the Sega Saturn wasn't a very good game. But they can bite the butt of a Raptor, IT'S A GREAT GAME!!! ( even today ) The game-play is top-notch, the graphics are beautiful, and it featured ( for the first time ) a full orchestral soundtrack recorded specifically for the game! WOW! And the Dinosaurs look absolutely lifelike, and move beautifully. I wish I wouldn't have listened to the reviews of this game in the day because I would have loved it. But no use crying over spilled Dino-Milk, I have it now and I love playing it. The Lost World: Jurassic Park is a "must have" for any Sega Saturn game collector, and it is well worth the few bucks it cost to own. " Happy Hunting! "
This is a really neat fun game. Got this for my "new" Saturn. Super cool. Graphics are cool mix of 3D in mostly 2D space and its just right. Movements and actions of the dinos are really great. Of all the Saturn games I got this one caught my fancy within the first few minutes. The sounds are neat and Ive only played as the compy. Recommend it.
This game is an amazing game. Well in some respects. 3D rendering in a 2D inviroment I remember was lame. Because everyone wanted 3d after Mario64. Still scrolling playing different dinos is great. I love playing as Trex. But this isn't for everyone. But still is a really cool game from the 90s.
This game has to be one of the best Jurassic Park games I've ever played! Even though this game is now 15 years old (as of 2012)it is still a great classic! In addition, I would say that this game is best played on the Sega Saturn, though the Sony PlayStation one is almost identical. But no matter what system you play it on, it is an amazing game that will have you hanging on the edge of your seat until the conclusion!
