This game was really really really fun. I am a sean connery nut and absolutely love his flicks. Also a large james bond fan. I Really liked the effort they put in the side-storyline. They added things in that made sense in the time and place the original movie was in. The Voice stand ins for the other characters are fantastic. The re-playability factor is quite large. For example certain levels have hidden roots with large amounts of loot in them. some are very well hidden at that. The unlock-able interviews with sean connery and interviews with dev's was a really neat idea I wish more games would use. The gadgets were kind of a surprise for me due to the fact in the movie they really didn't use any weapons. it feels a bit silly hearing 75 year old sean connery voice his 30 something year old self but after awhile you get used to it. It's a short game but the re-playability factor adds alot. However. The gamecube controller is not so great for it in my opinion. I personally bought a PS2 To Wii Adapter so I could use my PS2 controller with the game and it works great. (If anyones interested in that product comment.) The graphics are semi-good. But honestly the characters are the best looking part of the game and thats were it really matters. If your looking for a game to really immerse you in 1960's bond look no further.

One of the best 6th gen games ever

I'll be forward, I friggin' love Bond, particularly Sean Connery's Bond. So, when I bought this game, I was sold on the idea that (much like EON)a previous Bond actor is returning for the part. This was even better when I realized that it was SEAN CONNERY! However, I have to say some serious pros and cons about this game, and why it left me feeling "meh" afterward.

Pros: + Sean Connery is playable for the first time, joining the ranks of Dalton, Brosnan, and Craig in gamer mediums.
+ Easy to pick up and begin.
+ Faithful atmosphere and minor deviations from the original story.
+ My favorite EA Bond game. This is subjective, because everyone has said this about each newer installment, but it's the first Bond game to flesh out the world of the 1960s 007.
+ Great voice acting and musical score

Cons: - Difficulty, in general, is weirdly inconsistent. The on-rails restricted parts are frustrating and cheap, whereas the rest of the third-person gameplay is insanely easy. The inconsistency is stupid, as the progression of difficulty is far from gradual, then it subsides to a turret-mounted battle that makes you laugh.
- The mission constraints, or the unawareness of them. "Bond moments" as they're called, are hidden achievements that are given only when the pause screen comes up, and no time before. Not a big deal, but a nitpick when you want to backtrack and see what you need to complete.
- This contradicts a couple of my Pros, but the choice of this movie for a video game. As cool as it is, there are more applicable, action-packed movies to pick from. The original film has a plethora of spy drama and subtlety that doesn't translate into a non-stop run-and-shoot-and-explode action game. In fact, the story facilitates some original changes that entirely change main goals in the game. It changes the feel of the movie, not enhancing it, so that it panders to bloodthirsty action gamers over classic 007 fans. However, it's really cool that this character at least got the badass treatment after all of these years... But who thought of this game? Why that movie? Wh-why?
- The game is a cookie-cutter splice of Metal Gear Solid, Gears of War, and utilizes the lock-on system from the 3D Zelda games. The game has a great fan-serving skin, but is so underwhelming that one quickly gets tired of - "chest shot, shoot grenade, bang...chest shot, shoot grenade...bang" - and the noticeably less complicated objectives than the movie, summed up with, "James, blow that up!" or "Kerim, I think we need to go blow up that turret!" or even "Look James, I'm in my super rocket-launching laser gundam thing that looks like GLaDOS, let's BATTLE!" It kills the maturity level.

In the end, I like this game as much as I like the rest of the EA Bond games. It's challenge is non-existent, until it gets incredibly frustrating for about 5% of the game. Look at Goldeneye 007: it didn't need to update the source material, it benefited from its simplicity and consistent, definitive challenge level. But this game, despite its flaws, is a welcomed addition to the Bond game library. Let's hope we get another Connery game with a more subtle approach, and less like GTA rampage footage.

Bond games since Goldeneye have been terrible. But Goldeneye influenced my love for video games SO much that to this day, I buy all the Bond titles hoping to recreate some of the excitement that Goldeneye created. All of them have failed miserably until I played From Russia With Love. From the opening gun-barrel sequence, I was on the edge of my seat. Subtract the first and last mission, and you have a very-well replicated version of the movie, complete with classic gadgets, retro style, and Sean Connery himself. The single player missions are fantastic. If the multiplayer were as good as Goldeneye, well, then I wouldn't have free time to write this review now, would I? :) But forgive the multiplayer and buy this for the missions, you won't regret it!

Worst game I have ever played. Even worse than anything you could possibly imagine being so terrible and wrong seriously.

I recently dusted off my Gamecube out of love for Zelda. I thought I should get some other titles too since like Xbox and other systems its fun to go back and play on older systems. I bought this game for 3 bucks on the market place, it was well worth my measly 3 bucks. The game is fun, although not open enough to enjoy fully. You have to stay on course with the board, you can't sneak around and deviate your path which I think is a flaw. It's like objective...a-b and no way of deviating the manner by which it is done. Side missions in this game are "searching file cabnets" hardly the kind of side missions that are any fun. Having Sean 'I'll take the rapist for 400 Alex" Connery is a plus but there isn't any brain matter you need to play this so its just a perk, just remembering where the bombs are or what route to take. Some of the gameplay is fun, like taking down the helicopter with a bazooka, and some like any of the driving levels are annoying. I would buy for the co player "007 Goldeneye" style battling but nothing close to the original proce would I pay for this.

My son enjoyed this game so much! It had Sean Connery doing the voice of Bond 40 years later and lots of action!
