It's a spin off of 'a wonderful life' but for a girl. If you play hm games like I do (I own just about all of them) then you know what to expect. If this is your first hm game then you may be a little slow at first.

Imo: this is one pf the harder hm game out there. It also has lower character personalities but it still is fun none the less. I would suggest a newer game suxh as tree of tranquility for wii or magical melody for gamecube or wii if you want to get more in depth game wise. More to do and to choose.

Example in tot or mm you get to choose where to builld your house a spouse out of 10 people and if you want to be a boy or a girl. Your child can either be boy or girl.

In this game here the storyline is a tad stale and you can only build so much of it up. However if you are a true hm fan then you'll take its positive aspects and go with it. It's just how it goes :)

I own: tree of tranquility, animal parade, save the homeland, magical melody, ds cute, ds, (another) A wonderful life, 64 friends of mineral town. I've basicaly played them all. Currently on the quest to get two towns and the new 3ds one :)

Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life is, I think, the best Harvest Moon ever.

You're in Forget-Me-Not Valley. Your father has died and you have come to take over a farm. Your dad's friend is there to help you. He isn't really that helpful. You're job is to simply live. You can focus on just animals or just crops. You can also do a little of both. One minus is you cannot upgrade your current buildings. You can buy new things but not upgrade what is already there.

Time within the game is each second = one minute. Time doesn't stop indoors- one of my liked parts.
There are four seasons in a year. Each season is 10 days. At the end of each year you go to a new "chapter". Each chapter has a lot of changes packed into it.

The first chapter your all alone and take over a farm.
In this chapter, if you want to continue the game, you must woo one of three men.
The rest of the chapters revolve around your son growing up.
This is one con. You can only have a son. Also, you can only have one.

Favorite Features: Using the diary next to your bed you can bring up a menu with bars. These bars are very helpful. They show you what your child likes the best, your spirit, and a few other things.

You can buy new outfits and colors of rugs and bedding.

They finally added being able to train your dog tricks. You can also bring your cat and dog indoors.

Some Harvest Moon fans dislike this game. It IS very different from most Harvest Moon games. The time going by seconds instead of by blocks of ten is different. The chapter system is also not seen in other Harvest Moon games.
I like it for these very reasons. You get to see a whole town and your child grow from young to old.

But Its Still So Fun. Not Everyone Will Love It Because You Do Alot Of The Same Things But If You Like Animals/Farming You Will Probably Love It Like Me. And They Best Part Is Wondering Who To Marry! I Married Rocky Cuz He Looked The Best... He Is A Lazy Bum! Rocky Best Be Glad Its Not Real Life Or Else I Would Make Him Get Off His Butt! :) But The Other Guys Were Kinda Ugly Soooo... Anyway You End Up Having A Cute Little Kid. (Mine Is Named Dashal) And After 30 Years You Live Happily Ever After! The End. Lol :)

I don't like the dialog and random missing things you need to "unlock" unlike the original HM game, it feels like they made this deliberately to make it harder and more annoying. 3 stars for delivery and the game was in really good condition.

I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet, since my wii stopped working shortly after I purchased it. But I've played the game before years ago, when it first came out and enjoyed it. My kids have been playing the ones on the 3DS and enjoy them so I thought I'd get another one to play. They'll have to wait till I can fix the wii but I'm sure they'll enjoy it.

I thought the package was going to come used and beat up but it was brand new. I bought this for my little sister and she loves it. I think it's a little boring now that I'm older but I did love it when I was her age and I see she also likes it so I'm happy with the product. I do watch her play sometimes and so far, it seems like it's pretty much the same as A Wonderful Life but I would still rather play A Wonderful Life because of the marriage situation. My sister ended up having marry Rock so she decided to start a new game haha.
