Product Description

Mag Launcher and his crew are back for more role-playing adventures on the Dreamcast with Evolution 2. Delving deeper into the story and characters than did its predecessor, Evolution 2 starts by showing how Mag's dungeon-exploring exploits have gained him a little notoriety, leading Dr. Whitehead to invite him on a new expedition. This sequel adds a new character to the cast, Yurka, but there's reason to suspect his motivations. You'll fight battles both day and night, collect treasure, and solve puzzles that bring you further into the game's story.

Evolution 2 features 3-D characters, a third-person perspective, Visual Memory Unit support, and a turn-based battle engine that's easy to learn.

I'm a big JRPG fan and this is probably my favorite exclusive to Dreamcast (Except the one on Gamecube). Great story. Wonder graphics for the time. I got this purely to have, since I lost it years before. If you have a dreamcast and LOVE JRPG, play this!

The game is very well graphic for a Dreamcast game and is good at filling time. If you don't like rpg games this isn't for you but if you like a good story your best getting the first game before playing this one

Arrived on time and in good condition. This is a great game. Not for everyone as many have complained of it being too short and having a repetitive combat system. However, a must have for any sega dreamcast owner.

I'll tell you one thing, it's no Final Fantasy. When I first bought this game I didn't have but a few games and I wanted a good RPG for my Dreamcast. It was mediocre at first, but the more I played it the more boring it got. The story line is very [bad] and it seems like all you do is go in and out of huge frustrating dungeons which isn't as fun as they make it seem in the description anyway. This game seems like there wasn't ery much effort put into making it, you do the same thing over and over again, it's not a very good game, I gave it two stars just because I generally like role playing games.

Evolution 2 is a fair rpg game for the Sega Dreamcast. It has much difficulty, but pushes you to play more and more. It's a great game for the younger crowd but is also suitable for last minute dreamcast buyers. Though gameplay is fair, magic is awesome with unigue attacks from different characters. In the end, it is a pretty good game, looking at around [amount] for a new game.

A nice RPG that is fun, to the point & recommend for gamers new to the RPG genre. The story picks up where Evolution: World of Sacred Device ends & starts on the railroad to another continent with more dungeons as mentioned as being built in the first game. Familiar & new characters, weapons & enemies abound in this enjoyable sequel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Follow Up

This is of course a follow up to the game of the same title and yes, it is now outdated in the style and graphics but at the time of its release it was leading edge. However, if you happen to be a fan of older turn-based RPG games like I am, it's well worth investing the 30-40 hours playing it. And, if you haven't got one, it's also worth buying the system to play. Get the first game in the series as well. It's even better than this one.
