I love this game! Sure, it doesn't excite me like it used to. I first bought when it came out over 10 years ago! But, I still play it from time to time and it is still fun! I think the vehicle physics still hold up to this day. The cop chases may not be as good as they were in Driver 2, but I still have loads of fun with them. I also think the fps-style on foot is fun too, even if it's a little hard to use, because I got used to it. The gun fights are like what you'd find in a shoot-em-up style game, not great A.I., but fun. This is also one of those games that only about half the people that play it will like. Number one, it's got glitches galore! That won't ruin it though, unless you didn't like the game that much to begin with. Most people didn't like how difficult the on-foot was to use. Still, I personally love this game!

Despite negative reviews by the whiners, this game is rather enjoyable. It is an excellent addition to the DRIVER franchise. Improved graphics, better gameplay, larger free roaming world, better quality cut scenes, and the addition of professional actors doesn't hurt either. Michael Madson makes a very convincing Det. Tanner, Ving Rhames as Det. Jones, and Mickey Rourke as Jericho. The one and only complaint that I have is the perilous foot missions which can last longer than I would want in a driving game, but it doesn't affect the overall enjoyable experience. I wish there were more DRIVER games were on PS2 because I have no desire to purchase PS3...yet. If you like action and adventure movies that have cars, shootouts, explosions, (you know the usual blood and guts movie for men) then you'll like this game. Enjoy.

This game is a blast.

If someone is looking for a gta like game this is one to consider. Superb graphics, realistic handling and damage, and movie-like action make this game a great companion to your PS2 collection. There are a few bugs and glitches in the game, and it can get annoying if they're affecting the gameplay. But overall, it is a game that I enjoyed playing with it's awesome gameplay, graphics, and music.

i love and own all the driver games and this one takes the cake and the frosting too..this time you get to drive boats and motercycles which is fun....the only problem with this game is that after i play it and i drive my car it makes me want to run through stop signs and red lights at 100 miles an hour but hey thats not the games fault...

I was very disappointed when I put the disk in, and it wouldn't load past the main menu. The main menu screen doesn't even load up all the way. I know it is not my console because it can run other games just fine. Even tried to clean the disk. No luck. There are a couple of scratches on the disk.

driving has a bit of heavy weight control to it and can be a hindrance in both callita chases but nit as bad as the shooting as it takes a learning curve on its own to be good at it tho you can cheap it as well with the AI using the m16 .

this game missions can be quite hard most of the time and quite the challenge .

its sad that driver started to go downhill after this game .

This game if the PG version on Grand Theft Auto. I'm so glad I found a replacement copy on Amazon. My original disc got scratched and didn't work anymore. Now I can relive my childhood memories of playing this game. It's good, wholesome entertainment compared to the others.
