What's a 30 yr. old man to do with his love of casino games on his Xbox? Look for a casino game of course. This is a genre of game that has frequently struggled in the home console arena. With the insurgence of Poker games popping up in homes, garages, bars, and classrooms around the globe a quality gambling simulation shouldn't be too much to ask.

Bicycle Casino 2005 does not make any attempt to answer the call. Sure it provides over 500 variations of gaming but if the game play sucks who is willing to research the variations. The graphics are Sub-par. The AI is laughable at best.

One can only hope to see "Live Enabled" on a casino game and envision the grandeur this technology presents in a casino environment. Was there a light at the end of the tunnel with Bicycle Casino and Xbox Live or was it an oncoming train . . . CHOO! CHOO!

I've sampled:

Roulette feature - Single player only - No online games available. Not enought time to bet controls are awkward.

Craps - Single player only - No online games available. Confusing betting process

Blackjack - Mildly Fun but the dealer is pulling too many out of his CG arse.

Poker - No excitement. Anti-Climatic. Other Player proved the only excitement.

My online experience included searching for online Hold'em games and finding anywhere from none to 3 available for entry. No online Craps games. No online Roulette games. There is nothing marketable for this game. I gambled on this game and lost BIG TIME. I cross my fingers that Hoyle Casino can transition to the Console gamer.

Throughout the lifespan of both the PS2 and the Xbox, casino gaming fans have had no opportunities to enjoy any type of gambling program on their next generation consoles. Last week, that all changed with the release of Bicycle Casino on the Xbox. Featuring "over 500 game varieties" including the ever-popular Texas Hold 'Em and a relatively low price point, how could you go wrong? Well, there's PLENTY wrong with this truly awful title.

I've played just about every casino game from the Atari 2600 on through to the Sega Dreamcast and there have been only a few that I would consider to be good. Sadly, Bicycle Casino is not one of those games. The games presented here include all the standards- Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, several variants of Poker, Video Poker, Slots, Pai-gow Poker, and the Big Six Wheel. Table games all have various limits, which gives you the different "game varieties". For Video Poker fans like myself, I was amazed that there are only three variants of the game- Tens Or Better, Kings Or Better, and Deuces Wild. Considering Jacks Or Better is usually the standard, it's kind of a mystery as to why this option wasn't included. There is no double-up feature included either. As for the slots, well, let's just say I've seen better slots on old black-and-white Game Boy games. The "video slots" are all pretty weak and no matter which machine you choose, the sound effects are the same across all of them. Table games aren't much better as there is little activity among the characters. The game is Xbox Live compatible, but I have not attempted that considering how much "fun" I was having with the game in single player mode.

Overall, after waiting so long for a casino game on Xbox, I am sorely disappointed in this title. If you definitely must have a casino game, then I guess you can have some fun with this. Otherwise, find an old copy of Golden Nugget for the PSOne or try one of the Phantom EFX games on PC. Those are titles that show the game designers actually cared about what they put out as a final product.

If you dont have XBox live dont waste your money on this game. It's fun for about two hours and it gets boring quick. The graphics are not all that great and the sounds is basic also. With that said I have to say the Xbox live feature somewhat saves the game if you live to play texas holdem. I've been playing this game on Xbox live and its rather fun sitting around with other guys shooting crap and playing cards. So if you have Xbox live give it a chance but if not dont waste your time.

This game is a waste of money. It is very boring. You would think that you should be able to play multiple player, but the only way we could see to have a multi-player environment is if you are using xbox live. Still... I wouldn't waste your money.

This is by far the worst game ever made! I would have been better off spending 30 bucks on a box of hair it would have been far more entertaining.

This is by far the worst game I have ever purchased for my xbox. The fact that xbox even allowed this game to come out with its quality and "bore" factor makes me want to trade my xbox in on another system. There is no action and all the sounds are the same.
