I paid $47 total for Alien Trilogy and that was the best price I could find. The game arrived complete and the disc looks pretty good. Glad I can mark this game off of my 10 most wanted list! 😀

I have played this game many times before. Due to family financial reasons I had to get rid of it. Finding it again at an affordable price was huge bonus. The game I ordered came in the original case but with one deeper scratch which makes one part of the game freeze for a few seconds then it works great again afterwards. Its a fun game and I missed playing it. Sometimes the scratched part makes me lose a life but the playability is still great.

Really lived this game when I was a kid. Dont know why people complain about the draw distance in front of them. It adds an unknown feeling to the game where you wont know what you're running into until it starts coming after you. And to the people to complain its the same thing every level: Its a FPS, most FPS's have nothing more than running and gunning. There are tasks in this game you have to complete before moving onto the next level so to say its just shooting is just idiotic criticism. Nostalgic games like this always seem to get people who never played it when it came out and then come to play it in 2018 and go "Man this sucks.". Still better than the garbage they make today where they rely on pretty graphics over in depth gameplay.

This Game is freakin Awesome!!!!!! A Doom Style First person Shooter!!!!!!!!!!!!BRILLIANT!!!! You get all the awesome factors of the movies in a pretty massive PS-1 Game. I must admit i havent played it In years without the "god" codes but i can say that with those codes there's allot of fun to be had. But without this is a pretty difficult game, not that that's a bad thing but for some game play could get a little tiresome with the massive levels and just overall dark & maze like layouts. For fans of the Alien movies it's a Win. For Doom/FPS fans it's a WIN. All in All It's awesome.

The product arrived in its original case with game booklet. The case was cracked and the CD had minor scratches on it. The gameplay controls are very confusing and difficult. It takes some getting used to. The image was very dark, not sure if it was my TV but no other games have ever had this problem. The in-game options did not have and actual brightness setting to help me with this. The sound during gameplay will randomly crackle and or stop all together. Overall i was not happy with the game itself. I had no problems with the provider or the arrival of the product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alien Trilogy is an express elevator to HELL!! (Going down!!)

Alien Trilogy for PSOne is 30 levels of acid bleeding insanity!!

STORY:
------------
The battle begins in the opening cut-scene where Ripley and the marines arrive at Hadley's Hope on LV-426 and are attacked by the xenomorph. In this version of the story, EVERYONE but you and Bishop (Who is stationed in the APC vehicle outside of the colony) are wiped out in the first big bug attack, leaving Ripley to complete the search and destroy mission by herself.

And so the game begins.

GAMEPLAY:
------------------
This game is very reminiscent of the Doom games, also being a moody, atmospheric First-Person shooter with slightly better graphics and a scarier, heart pounding soundtrack that's both eerie and upbeat. The way the game is set up is that Bishop sends you mission text objectives at the beginning of each level, and you play through the 3 major settings of the Alien Trilogy films, in the order of 1. The LV-426 Colony (Aliens), 2. The Prison (Alien 3) and then finally, The Bone Ship (Alien). Each area has 10 levels and TONS of enemies, ranging from the Xenomorph, facehuggers, chestbursters, company combat synthetics, corrupt company security guards, dog xenomorph - young & adult variants (Alien 3) and of course, 3 queen aliens, which you'll face on the 10th level of each area.

You also play as the bald Ellen Ripley from Alien 3, but she's wearing her outfit from Aliens, which I thought was a bit weird. But alright, you only do see Ripley in the cutscenes or the death scenes any way. But it's also weird that the 3 areas you play in are on the SAME planet. (Any Alien fan would know that, YES, The Colony and the Boneship ARE on the same planet of LV-426, but the Prison colony on Fury 161 from Alien 3 was located on an entirely different planet all together!!) And also, what is the Nostromo's cryotube sleep chamber doing in one of the rooms in Hadley's Hope?? I guess the solution is simple, really. The game's called Alien Trilogy, so it's a combination of all the important elements from the 'then' called Alien Trilogy films, and is NOT an EXACT replica of them.

WEAPONS:
----------------
Ripley has a variety of weapons to bring the fight to both the Xenomorph and the company. You've got the classic Pulse Rifle (Which fires both bullets and grenades), the shotgun, a 45 automatic pistol, the flamethrower, the smart gun (Vasquez and Drake's weapons from Aliens), and explosive seismic charges. Thankfully, ammo is plentiful and you'll find yourself staying in the fight unless you're reckless and wasteful.

FINAL VERDICT:
-----------------------
Gameplay-wise, Alien Trilogy can get a bit repetitive at times, especially playing 30 levels of just runnin' and gunnin', but it is quite FUN for what it's worth!! It's a scary, atmospheric experience, from racing around down barely lit corridors, to killing xenomorph while the thumping, pulse-pounding soundtrack keeps your heartrate up; it's bound to keep you busy!!

All in all, it's a pretty fun game as well as a great nostalgic experience, especially for this Alien fan who grew up loving these films and collecting the comics, action figures and video games!! If you're a fan of retro games and might wanna check this out, I'd say go for it!! What've you got to lose?

Fun Fact: I have BOTH this game and Aliens: Colonial Marines for PS3, and I TOTALLY prefer Alien Trilogy over it!! You'd think that by this day and age, video games would be better in everyway... but that's definitely not the case here. Alien Trilogy is a million times better!!

If you wanna join the fight, we'll be waiting for you!! See you at the outer rim, Soldier!!
