Al-Hilal issued a warning to Al-Nassr ahead of their showdown next week with a thumping win over Al-Hazem on Saturday.

The country’s top two sides are set to clash next week in one of the biggest games of the Saudi Pro League this season.

But before their meeting, Al-Hilal delivered a message to Al-Nassr after earning an emphatic 9-0 victory away at Al-Hazem.

Strikes from Aleksandar Mitrovic, Mohamed Kanno, and Mohamed Al-Qahtani gave the visitors a three-goal lead in the first half as the floodgates opened after the break.

Summer signings Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Malcom got on the scoresheet with the latter netting a hat-trick to inspire Al-Hilal to a record win.

The result will be a huge morale booster as Al-Hilal now have the biggest scoreline in the history of the Saudi Pro League scoring nine in a single top-flight game.

It’s worth noting that Al-Hilal managed to achieve that feat without their star player Neymar who has been out with an ACL tear.

Asia’s Player of the Year and Al-Hilal skipper Salem Al-Dawsari is also sidelined with an injury and is set to miss the Saudi El Clasico on Friday.

Meanwhile, Al-Nassr’s injury list includes Aymeric Laporte and Marcelo Brozovic while Sadio Mane’s return to the starting lineup remains in doubt.
