Our Story
Achladokampos is the name of a village neatly tucked away in the mountainous region of Eastern Peloponnese, in Greece.
The name seems to have been made up, centuries ago, from the words ach-lado-kampos which mean a sigh-oil-valley. The location, the soil, the elevation, the climate along with the Greek Sun seem to combine to produce ideal conditions for the growing of olive trees that produce their wonderful fruit, the olive, that its juice, the olive oil, has been a dietary mainstay of the Mediterranean peoples from ancient times. Olive oil produced in the Achladokampos region is considered, far and wide, to be of the highest quality. |
