Marbled paste-down end-papers: lacks front free end-paper. - Engraved bookplate: "Bibliotheca Ladislai Vietoris de Kiss-Kovalocz et in Korocz", showing a lion under a crown. - Title-page printed in red-and-black (with a few notations in old ink, crossed out, and the date of 1818). - Interior very fine. - Cardinal Count Emericus Csaky's (1672-1732) edition of Antonio de Guevera's (c. 1481-1545) famous book on the education of princes, fictionally represented as a work drawn from a Florentine manuscript. - Rare early Gyor (Raab) imprint.
