A Divine Spark is an activatable artifact that restores some godpower. It is said that these sparks originally were, in fact, sparks that somehow made their way down to earth, but this rumor has not been confirmed because our usual sources were too caught up in their own business to pay attention.
These sparks now come from earth and go up to the heavens, where a deity may be able to use it for something.
Heroes may become distressed at their artifact seems to be disappearing, requiring deities to assure their hero it was necessary and that it isn't really gone forever.
