Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Center

The Air Zoo is a world-class, Smithsonian-affiliated aerospace and science museum with over 100 rare and unique aircraft and spacecraft; inspiring interactive exhibits; full-motion flight simulators; indoor flight-based rides; a theater; hands-on, science-based education programs; and out-of-this-world events. The Air Zoo is also the proud home to a nationally recognized restoration program. The Restoration Team consists of more than 80 volunteers who dedicate their time to restoring WWII aircraft that were rescued from the bottom of Lake Michigan after more than 65 years. This experience takes place on the exhibit floor and all guests are welcome to interact with the team and get an up close and personal experience with the aircraft. The Air Zoo works to ignite curiosity, celebrate innovation and connect guests with science and history through hands-on experiences that illuminate and inspire. We are a nonprofit charitable organization which relies on membership and admission income as well as donations, foundation grants, corporate sponsorship and hundreds of dedicated volunteers to operate seven days a week, 360+ days a year.
