Man pronounced dead after running his vehicle into a tree in Macon

MACON, Ga. (WGXA) -- A fatal traffic accident on Saturday afternoon in Macon has left one man dead.

The accident occurred in the 4300 block of Napier Avenue at around 2:47pm, and according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was identified as 37-year-old Antonio Eugene Dumas.

The driver, who was in a Red Acura Integra, reportedly lost control of his vehicle, and ran into a tree shortly after leaving the roadway.

The accident is currently still under investigation, and we will keep you updated as soon as more information is given.
