MACON, Ga. (WGXA) -- Ace Hardware is opening a new location on First Street, becoming the first hardware store in Downtown Macon since Karsten-Denson moved to Ingleside Village 16 years ago.

The new store, opening in February, is located at the corner of First Street and Pine Street.

"We're really excited to be a part of the revitalization of downtown," Co-Owner George Jackson says.

This is one of many new businesses coming to the areas outside of the downtown core with Vital Signs having moved from its former location on Cherry Street to Pine Street in the newly expanded Business Improvement District.

This will mark the fifth location that the Jackson family has opened.
