Cuarón
Cuarón hasn’t helmed any features since winning his second Academy Award for best director (and fourth Oscar overall) via his semi-autobiographical 2018 Netflix drama “Roma,” but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been making an impact still. He was intimately involved in the 2021 Netflix film “The Disciple,” about an Indian classical music vocalist who begins to question the path he’s taken. Cuarón executive produced the film and mentored its director, Chaitanya Tamhane, through the process. In 2020, Cuarón produced Robert Zemeckis’ feature adaptation of Roald Dahl’s “Witches” and executive produced Iranian drama “Throwing Bombs in Bagdhad.” Cuarón also has a five-year deal to develop projects for Apple TV+ running through 2024 and will produce its “Raymond and Ray” original film starring Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke.
