Don’t Pass By That Mud Puddle

Daily Macro View

My eyes are wandering everywhere when I’m out shooting. Even a mud puddle get my attention.

Most macro photographers would walk right by this and never consider there may be something to shoot.

I like to look for leaves in these puddles. You can find some cool art work as the leaves get swallow in the mud.

When choosing leaves in mud to shoot, don’t shoot the ones just laying on top of the mud, find the leaf that is melting into the earth, like this cottonwood leaf that is half exposed.

Great reminder Mike. I got a little away from walking by them so this is a good reminder.
    Thanks.

Very true Mike. While out shooting flowers with a friend he was out of sight and I was walking very slow. When we compared our shots he had missed most of what I had photographed.
