NEW DELHI: Tech giant Microsoft may soon reportedly launch a new Xbox One S Fortnite Limited Edition dedicated to the battle royale game, as per a report by tech site winfuture.de. If the rumours turn out to be true, this will be the first time Microsoft is launching an Xbox console that has been specially adapted for Fortnite.
The report goes on to say that the new Microsoft Xbox One S Fortnite Limited Edition Bundle may get launched in the US and Europe within a month.
The console has been priced at € 299.90 (about Rs 23,341) in Europe. In the US, its price will be $299 (about Rs 20,787) if we go by the listing of some retailers.
As per the report, the Xbox bundle will be having a 1TB Xbox One S with an optical drive in a “Gradient Purple” colour. Also, there is a single Xbox One wireless controller in dark blue-violet colour.
The report goes on to say that those who buy the Xbox One S Fortnite Special Edition 1TB console will also receive the game "Fortnite” as a bonus item. They will also be eligible for a new skin called "Dark Vertex" and 2000 V-Bucks in-game currency. Also, Microsoft will also give a free one-month subscription for Xbox Live, for EA Access and Xbox Game Pass in the bundle.
There has been no confirmation by Microsoft yet about a Fortnite-special Xbox console.
In other news, Fortnite recently introduced a limited time mode based on film character John Wick. The character, who used to be a former assassin, is played by Keanu Reeves, famous for the Matrix trilogy and other films like Speed and Constantine.
