I am honoured that my two films are screened at KIFF: Soham Chakraborty
Soham Chakraborty is on cloud nine. His film Kolkatar Harry was screened at the 27th Kolkata International Film festival on Tuesday. Besides, Raj Chakrabarty’s Dharmajuddho, which features Soham in a pivotal role, will also be screened at the festival. The actor was evidently elated when he visited the festival on Wednesday.
“Two of my films are getting screened in this prestigious festival and that is very satisfying. Besides, The festival is paying tribute to Satyajit Ray on his birth centenary and I had the privilege of working with him in Shakha Proshakha.
It is such an honour to be a part of the festival,” Soham told us.
Directed by Rajdeep Ghosh, Kolkatar Harry is a children’s film that is about a carpool driver, Harinath Patra. He works for the primary section of a convent school. Harinath Patra has an instinctive quality of story-telling. Harinath, being a fan of the fairytales and especially the Harry Potter series, has a hobby of showing magic on the streets of the City of Joy. The film delves into the special bonding he develops with children through his magic and storytelling.
