Description / Action: 

ACEPTOR Tablets contain Benazepril – an ACE inhibitor which blocks an enzyme called Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE). This helps in relaxing (dilatation) of blood vessels, thereby reducing blood pressure.

Early detection is vital, especially for senior cats. As part of disease prevention service, you may encourage your feline pet parents to get regular health checkups done for their cats.

Excessive thirst and loss of appetite are two most common clinical signs of chronic renal insufficiency in cats and dogs. Benazepril helps dogs and cats with chronic renal insufficiency to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.

Indication / Uses:

• Helps in the treatment of hypertension
• Adjunct treatment in hypertrophic cardiomyopathies (HCM)- Reduces wall thickness,
• Treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and Mitral Valve Disease (MVD).
• Reduce protein loss associated with Chronic Renal Failure (CKD)

Dosage and administration:

Dog:  0.25- 0.5mg/kg bw once daily

Cat:  0.5mg/kg bw once daily

Route: oral administration

Over-dosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Do not use in pets with hypotension or cardiac output failure.  Risk of hypotension when administered with diuretics, beta-blockers, and other vasodilators.

Pharmaceutical precautions / Instructions: 

Store in a cool and dry place at room temperature or below 25°C. Keep out of reach of the children. Strictly for veterinary use.

Safety: Age / Pregnancy/ Withdrawal:

Safety has not been established for use in cats less than 2.5 kg body weight and in pregnant and lactating dogs and cats. Always outweigh the risk before administration in such patients.
