SEEDS OF TRAVELLER´S JOY - CLEMATIS VITALBA

Creamy white flowers in summer are followed by feathery seed heads in late summer and early fall, giving this vine its common name "old man’s beard. These fluffy seed heads are persistent and quite conspicuous in the winter.

Depending on the geographical areas and altitude sowing can take place from February to April. Stratify in hot the seeds for 2 months + cold stratification for 4 to 6 months before the sowing. It is possible to use a sowing substrate for potting or soil from the garden together with a sowing substrate if the sowing is made directly into the garden. The substrate must be wet but not soggy until the germination is completed.
