pop'n music 8 is the eighth main installment of the titular rhythm game series, and features a spring/picnic theme.

Notably, it brought over songs from many other BEMANI games, though mostly from the short-lived Mambo a Go Go. It's also known for introducing Shaka, whose EX chart was then considered to be one of the hardest in the franchise.

Unused Graphics

Graphics for two unplayable characters can be found in the game's data: the MZD variant from Oedo hanafubuki TEYAN-day MIX, and the Nyami variant from PROJECT A PROCEEDS (both songs being absent from this release). These include a splash screen portrait, animation sheets, and in the former's case, icons.

Revisional Difference

Two revisions of the game are known to exist, labeled as ver.JAA and ver.JAB. However, the only difference was the correction of a typo in the result screens, in which the "2nd" displayed if a player ranked in second place on the highscore table was originally shown as "2st".
