1. Story - Welcome to Cartown!

Putt-Putt wants to join a parade that is to go through his town after hearing about the Cartown Pet Parade on his radio. To do this, he needs to find various objects such as a pet and a balloon and get a carwash. This is the game where Putt-Putt goes into the cave and finds Pep, his little brown dog, who is a recurring character in the series.
1-1. Putt-Putt's Beginnings
The first story with Putt-Putt took place not in a computer, but beside a child's bed. Putt-Putt's creator, Shelley Day, told Putt-Putt's first adventure to her three year old son Travis as a bedtime story in 1990. In the story, Putt-Putt saved a cat who had gotten stuck in a tree.

Soon after, Putt-Putt became the first of the many characters to be created at Humongous Entertainment, then a new company. Since 1992, Putt-Putt has starred in a total of 13 games,
7 of which are adventure games. He also starred in 2 arcade games and 4 activity games.

1-3. What's a Panasonic 3DO?

The 3DO Interactive Multiplayer (often called simply the 3DO) is a video game console platform developed by The 3DO Company. Conceived by entrepreneur and Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins, the 3DO was not a console manufactured by the company itself, but a series of specifications, originally designed by Dave Needle and R. J. Mical of New Technology Group, that could be licensed by third-parties. Panasonic produced the first models in 1993, and further renditions of the hardware were released in 1994 by Sanyo and GoldStar (now LG Corp).

Despite a highly promoted launch (including being named Time magazine's "1994 Product of the Year") and a host of cutting-edge technologies, the 3DO's high price (US $699 at launch) and an over-saturated console market prevented the system from achieving success comparable to veteran competitors Sega and Nintendo.

Since its discontinuation in late 1996, the 3DO has been frequently derided by video game historians.
1-4. Dashboard Interface

Putt-Putt's dashboard has maintained a similar look throughout the course of the series. The original style, seen in Putt-Putt Joins the Parade and Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon, features a Gas Gauge, Speedometer, Steering Wheel with Horn, Radio and a Glove Compartment.

In Putt-Putt Joins the Parade, Putt-Putt's gas gauge would drain as time progressed. He had the option of refilling it at the Cartown Gas Station. The Speedometer is labeled in increments of 5mph from five to 35mph, 35mph being Putt-Putt's Top Speed. The Steering Wheel is red and seemingly floats in front of the Dashboard. In its center rests a Yellow Smiley Face which acts as Putt-Putt's Horn. When used, the horn makes a Goofy Face while the Horn blares. The Radio features a Older Style Tuner and is always tuned to the Same Station. The Glove Compartment is where Putt-Putt keeps the items he finds on his adventures. It is divided into Two Sections by a single shelf that rests in the middle. During times when Putt-Putt is asked a YES or NO Question, the shelf rotates forward to reveal the YES or NO options.
2. Minigames
Color Changing:
Color Changing is a feature in the Putt-Putt series in which you can change Putt-Putt's Color. Almost all games contain a Color Changing feature, except for Pep's Birthday Surprise and Pep's Dog on a Stick. See Section 5-7 for Color Changing on Putt-Putt Joins the Parade.

Pinball Maker:
You can make your own Pinball Table, place Flippers on a 10x6 Grid & Launch Pinballs to your own liking.

Puzzle Blocks:
Match all 9 Blocks on a 3x3 Grid to make a Picture.

Riddles & Jokes:
You can play up to 48 jokes found in the game and each joke have a dialogue for all four animals depending on the jokes. These animals are Doggie, Duckie, Kitty Cat and Bunny Rabbit and each have 12 jokes, which these automatically random. See Section 2-1 on How to Play the Riddles & Jokes Minigame.

NOTE: When you're done with either the Puzzle Blocks or the Pinball Maker, you can post either your Puzzle Block Picture or Custom Pinball Table Picture on Steam using the F12 Key in the Steam Version or use PrintScreen in the Standalone Windows or MS-DOS Versions using ScummVM.
2-1. Riddles & Jokes Instructions
