model name / number: Area 51 Arcade Game
Here’s an Area 51 Arcade game for sale.

It is for sale for $3,900 CASH. We may entertain straight trades for quality 4 wheelers in the $4000+ range. Other Area 51 arcade game machines in similar condition are selling online in the $3,500 range and then you have to pay shipping and wait a while to actually get it. If you buy this game from us, you get it quicker and don’t have to pay shipping! I can send you a video of the game functioning, etc.

We have owned this game for approximately 3 years and have loved it. We bought this game from a guy who works on Arcade game machines and restores them. We have taken care of the machine and believe it was taken care of with the previous owner. The game and cabinet are fully functional, although it is older and has some quirks/isn’t perfect. This Area 51 is in a conversion cabinet. Our main reason for selling is to free-up space in the home.

Pickup is in Ozark Mo. Feel free to play and test out the game before you buy. Please come with a dolly as the game is heavy. Text at fouroneseven865six5zer0 to buy it.

Here is a synopsis of the game plot/summary/details:

“Kill the aliens and their mothership. Aliens have taken over Area 51 and infected the personnel there. Released by Atari in 1995, this light gun shooter is extremely popular in the shooter category. You are part of S.T.A.A.R., the Strategic Tactical Advanced Alien Response team. Your mission is to enter the Area 51 complex and destroy the aliens and the infected zombie personnel. Ultimately you end up in the center of the facility and engage the nuclear self-destruct system, preventing the spread of the alien swarm. Shoot alien infected personnel, power-ups for better weapons, ammo crates for larger clips, explosive barrels, and window glass.

The plot of this game is very simple. Aliens have invaded, and you and the other members of STAAR must defeat them. The game is pretty much a standard light gun game, with enemies appearing over a prerendered background. The introduction of secret rooms helps replay value, as does competing for a higher score with a partner.

Through the game you will go from the Hangars of Area 51, into the Labs and then into the mountain cave for a final showdown. During the trip, you shoot at the aliens, with your Light Gun, shoot power-ups to collect them, and shoot inanimate objects (windows, barrels, etc) to get bonus points and open secret rooms.

There are many secret “rooms” that can be entered by shooting combinations of inanimate objects in the game. For example, shooting all the office windows out after going up the ladder in the hangar will take you to “Shake your Buddha”, where you can take shots at the stationary heads of the development team and increase your score and streak. Taking out all the windows on the back wall of the hangar will take you to another secret room full of power-ups.

Instead of starting out the game normally, avoid shooting the aliens. Instead, shoot the first three members of STAAR that appear on the screen (the guys in blue). Do not worry, after your health gets down to one, the aliens will not hurt you any more. After shooting the third member of STAAR, you will get an info screen talking about Kron Hunters, and you will start the game over as one. The graphics pallette will be completely whacked, and when you are done, a Kron Hunter symbol (a green K) will appear next to your high score, rather than a military ranking.”
