TECHNICAL AUDIO DESIGNER (CONTRACT) As a Technical Audio Designer (Contract), your focus is on creating quality workflows, shareable, future facing tech and data, and collaborating with external audio creators, as well as the design, art, and tech teams. As part of our audio team, you will identify risks, share solutions, and contribute with a positive, inclusive attitude.

Working on the companion game for Netflix’s Rebel Moon, we are set to deliver an experience that will build upon the cinematic universe of the franchise, while enriching and expanding all that makes it special. Your role will be enabling sound creators to build the range of rich, interactive, vibrant soundscapes the fans expect from our product.

Responsibilities
  • Build audio runtime systems within our visual programming engine, expanding our internal audio toolset
  • Supercharge the FMOD integration in our custom engine
  • Create, extend and manage simple and complex audio assets and structures
  • Support artists by training, debugging and developing/improving workflows
  • Optimize and debug runtime audio data to work and fit within mobile and console limitations
  • Document data structures, workflows and best practices
  • Communicate designs, best practices and risks to our team and the company as a whole
Qualifications

Required:
  • 3+ years' experience in audio production for games with a focus on implementation. FMOD experience preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in script based programming in any capacity.

Voice Designer

Job description What you’ll do as a Voice Designer:
  • Participate in the integration of voice / dialogue in the game;
  • Plan voice-recordings in collaboration with third-party providers;
  • Collect and organize the available data (Mocap recordings, studio recordings, ADR, robo-voice, etc..);
  • Attend Voiceover and MoCap sessions in-house or in external studios;
  • Participate in the preparation and development of voice content for Performance Capture sessions;
  • Develop and carry out sound treatment of voice where the voice requires effects;
  • Participate in the planning of the voice production in collaboration with the Audio Director;
  • Make sure that the voice quality/levels meets the standard set by the Audio Director;
  • Debug, maintain and ensure the final product quality;
  • Carry out all other related tasks.

**Qualifications

  • Extensive scripting, post-production and voice production knowledge;
  • Extensive knowledge of audio processes & DAW software (ie. ProTools or Reaper);
  • Experience of working with game engines and audio middleware is a plus;
  • Able to work under pressure in a sound team with other voice and sound designers;
  • Knowledge of voice and voice history in video games and experience in the field a major asset;
  • Has shipped a game or completed a large project in the entertainment industry ;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and direct voice recording sessions;
  • Diploma in sound design or equivalent training or experience;
  • 5+ years’ of experience working with voice over related tasks in the film, TV, and/or video game industry.
