PRONUNCIATION

 

AS A SENIOR (2022-23): One of four Gaels to start all 35 games on the season, including four games in the postseason...enjoyed his best season in Moraga, with career-bests across the board, starting with 31.3 minutes per game...played at least 39 minutes in seven of the last 13 games...scored at least nine points in all but five games, setting a career-best with 12.5 points per game, good for third on the team...made the third-most three-pointers in the WCC with 87, shooting at a 41.1% clip from beyond the arc...his 87 threes are the fourth-most in a single-season in Saint Mary's history...tied a career-best with 25 points in a home game New Mexico on November 30...led the team with 17 points in their NCAA Tournament win over VCU and added a career-best five steals, the most in a tournament game in Gaels history...reached 1,000 career-points during the win over VCU, one of 39 Gaels to do so in program history...additionally, ranked third on the team in blocks and steals...finishes his Gaels career ranking fifth in free throw percentage (83.9%), tied for sixth in three-pointers made (197), and seventh in three-point attempts (499)...named All-West Coast Conference honrable mention, his second postseason award from the conference in as many seasons...was named to the All-WCC Tournament team following the Gaels runner-up finish.

AS A JUNIOR (2021-22): Appeared in and started all 34 games for the Gaels … posted career highs in points per game (10.3), assists per game (0.9), steals per game (0.9), and minutes per game (29.8) … tied a career-high with 25 points against LMU on Feb. 5 in which he made five three-pointers and was 6-6 from the charity stripe … scored in double digits in seven-straight games from Dec. 28 to Jan. 29, the longest such stretch of his career (previous best was two games in a row) … had a season-high eight rebounds against Notre Dame on Nov. 22 … scored double-digits in both of Saint Mary’s NCAA Tournament games … 24 times he knocked down multiple three-pointers in a game ... played 30 minutes or more in 22 games this season ... had 10 games with multiple steals … named West Coast Conference Player of the Week on Jan. 24 after consecutive games of 17 and 25 points … named All-West Coast Conference Second Team for the first time in his career
 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Played in 14 games and made nine starts … Started the first nine games of the season before suffering an ankle injury against Colorado State on Dec. 19 … Averaged 7.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 22.0 minutes per game … Set a career-high with 25 points against South Dakota State on Nov. 27 in Sioux Falls, S.D. … Took a personal-best 17 shot attempts in the game including nine attempts from 3-point land … Grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds and nearly had a double-double in the second game of the year versus Northern Iowa (9 pts/10 rebs) … Was 5-for-7 from deep against Nicholls in a 19-point game on Dec. 1 … Scored 11 points in 26 minutes off the bench in the NIT against Western Kentucky … Only appeared in two WCC games due to injury … In the eight games prior to his initial injury, was averaging 11.3 ppg, 5.6 rpg, and shooting .357 from 3-point … finished the year with a shooting line of .413/.328/.842.

AS A FRESHMAN (2019-20): Appeared in 33 games and started 11...Started more games as a true freshman than any Gael since Matthew Dellavedova (2009-10)...Averaged 15.2 minutes and scored 3.6 points per contest...Shot 48 percent overall and 41 percent from deep...Recorded season-high 16 points and eight rebounds against Seattle on Dec. 28...Hit a three in collegiate debut against Wisconsin...Made his first career start at Pepperdine on Jan. 18 and scored 10 points in 19 minutes...Started next 10 games after that...Scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds against BYU on Feb. 1.


PRIOR TO SAINT MARY’S: Spent time at the NBA Global Academy and the Centre of Excellence in Canberra...Selected to participate in the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp at the NBA All-Star Weekend this past February, one of only the top 43 prospects under 18 from 36 countries...Teammates with Kyle Bowen while growing up in West Australia including at this past years Under 20 Australian Championships...Ducas averaged 19.5 points per game during the tournament...Played for Australia at the Under 18 FIBA World Cup over the summer alongside Bowen.
