CT Special Forces: Fire for Effect reviews and comments

Well, what can I say, if the Game were at all Playable in any way on a modern Computer, I might be able to make a Recommendation for the Nostalgic. The Graphics are somewhat reminiscent of the first Half Life, albeit with CT Special Forces with real 3D Models. However, the Game is so accelerated that you can't even understand the Dialogues in the Cutscenes, as they merge into each other. And already with the second Training Mission you are doomed to Failure, because the 2 Minute Deadline is already over after about 30 Seconds. My PC is already 2 Years old. But even on my 7-year-old Pentium Q6600, the Game is still running too fast for it to be Fun. Older Games in my Portfolio are much better programmed to work with new PCs.

So I habs really tried but couldn't win the Game. CT Special Forces: Fire for Effect will make one felt on Rambo/Duke Nukem, but the Implementation is nowhere near as good. In itself, the Game has really nice Ideas (Free Fall and Shoot and Echolot View, for example) But the Game is far too inaccurate and difficult to weigh. While you can ball through fully relaxed, Missiles also kill you directly with full HP. Well, the Memory Points are quite well set. The Game plays really spongy from the Mouse Control, so Goals and Driving are really annoying. When you switch to Kimme and Grain, the net gets better and it looks really bad. With Ammunition you have no Problems at all, because you just get everything in your Hand and need net at all. In particular, the Grenades are stupid, as you keep throwing Depending on the Walls of The mouse. But the Timer just goes to 100% in 0.5 seconds, which makes correct targeting almost impossible. While I'm not a Graphic Fetishist, I'd expect more for a 2005 Game. The Graphics seem similarly spongy to the Controls and I would almost say Half Life 1 looked better. The Story, as far as I've played, is quite weak. Nice Idea with a Supercomputer and the whole Counter-terrorism thing but you just pelt from one Mission to your Neighbour, while the Story is hardly advanced. Finally, there is a small Blemish that you can change the Net ingame control and that it is totally stupid as the Default Setting. For Example, Backspace is a Good way to Go and Grenades are changed with Image ON and BildAB. Well and Jump you can also net, space key can also be used for Shooting. Conclusion I would have liked to know if the Game is a meter Console Import, but did not get Any information about the Game on Wikipedia or Gamestar or on a few other Pages at all. I just can't recommend it for the Price! Did the Review help you? Then follow me in my Steam Group, where I write my Reviews as a Curator.
