About this app

DIRECT is your access to studies at Freie Universität Berlin in the field of psychological support programs.

To take part in one of the studies, you need a study ID or a participant ID. You will receive this via one of our recruitment channels (e.g. social media, notices or flyers) or directly from your practitioner.

With such an ID, you can currently participate in the following study via the app:

Study: "ALMAMAR"
ALMAMAR is a psychological support program for Arabic and Farsi-speaking refugees in Germany.

People who suffer from psychological distress such as persistent sadness, traumatic memories, anxiety, or problems with alcohol or drug use can benefit from ALMAMAR. Before the start of the program, interested participants are asked to fill out questionnaires. Participants will then receive further information on participating in the program.

We want to research whether and to what extent ALMAMAR is used by Arabic and Farsi-speaking people.

ALMAMAR is offered as a scientific study that examines the use and effectiveness of a psychological support program.

This research has the potential to help people become more aware of their wellbeing and learn strategies for improving their mental health.

The program is offered by the Free University in cooperation with the Medical School Berlin and the LVR Institute for Health Services Research in Germany.

Disclaimer:
Please note that ALMAMAR is not intended as a substitute for professional medical or psychological advice, diagnosis or treatment. ALMAMAR offers you the opportunity to learn strategies for dealing with psychological stress.

Financing:
This project was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
