The constant innovation and challenges in the field of information systems and computer programming keep me engaged and motivated to explore new ideas and solutions.

Karen Aguar

Lecturer

I teach because I am deeply passionate about helping students learn and grow. Witnessing my students grasp complex concepts and develop new skills is immensely fulfilling. It’s a privilege to be a part of their educational journey and contribute to their success.

What interests me most about my field is the ever-evolving nature of technology and its impact on businesses and society. The constant innovation and challenges in the field of information systems and computer programming keep me engaged and motivated to explore new ideas and solutions. I am also very passionate about promoting diversity in technical fields by supporting underrepresented students and creating an inclusive and welcoming learning environment for all.

My teaching philosophy is centered on active learning and engagement. I believe in creating a dynamic learning environment where students can apply their knowledge through hands-on activities and real-world scenarios. I also prioritize staying up-to-date with the latest pedagogical and technological advances to provide the best learning experience for my students.

I hope that students gain not only a strong understanding of the subject matter but also critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of confidence in their abilities. Additionally, I aim for my students to develop a passion for lifelong learning and an enthusiasm for embracing the challenges and opportunities presented by technology in today’s world.
