NEW YORK, November 30, 2022 – One Drop, a leader in precision health solutions for people living with diabetes and other chronic conditions, has donated diabetes management supplies valued at $38,786 to 501(c)3 charitable organization, Insulin for Life USA (IFL USA).1 The Florida-based non-profit received 1,000 50ct boxes of test strips, 200 glucose meter kits, and 200 carry cases from One Drop, which they intend to distribute free of charge to children and adults with diabetes in need. The donation corresponds with National Diabetes Awareness Month—a time when communities team up to bring attention to the chronic condition impacting 37.3 million in the U.S. and 537 million people worldwide.

Specifically, products received from One Drop will further IFL’s efforts to share diabetes management tools where access to these vital resources is limited.”

Earlier this year, on the heels of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, One Drop partnered with another health-focused organization, EIT Health. Reports at the time cited approximately 130,000 people with type 1 diabetes and over 2.3 million with type 2 diabetes in Ukraine were facing inconsistent access to insulin, supplies, medical professionals, and diabetes care. In addition to giving back to those in need through donations, One Drop remains committed to helping bridge the health equity gap. As chronic condition rates continue to rise, so do healthcare costs, disproportionately impacting people from racial and ethnic minority groups and groups experiencing disadvantage because of poor social determinants of health. One Drop intends to continue investing in inclusive and equitable research processes to help those with the greatest need realize the benefits of its precision health approach. Most recently, research presented at the 82nd Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association showed One Drop's digital solution helps people with type 2 diabetes who are at greater risk of health inequities.
More than 40 peer-reviewed clinical studies and publications demonstrate One Drop’s results and clinical strengths, including improved health outcomes (e.g., 1.9% reduction in estimated A1C in three months, lower systolic blood pressure, average nine-pound weight loss), and direct per-person annual cost savings. In addition, recent RCT results suggest One Drop may also enable better day-to-day functioning for adults managing diabetes.
The One Drop platform combines connected medical devices, an AI-powered mobile app (iOS and Android, available in 11 languages), and one-on-one coaching with certified diabetes care and education specialists (CDCES) to empower people with chronic conditions to stay healthy.
