Man sets a state record for catching biggest gar at Arbuckle Lake

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH)--While bow-fishing Friday, Tylor Lampkin caught a new state record spotted gar in the unrestricted category.

The gar comes in at 11 pounds and 10.5 ounces, beating the previous state record by six ounces.

The gar was caught at Arbuckle Lake.

Lampkin donated the fish to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation for ongoing gar research.
