The Sunday Mirror is reporting that the wedding is set to be a three-day extravaganza, taking place in California and costing around the $1.5 million mark.
Dean Spencer, who writes the gossip column for the paper, claims to have seen one of the wedding invitations, rumoured to be worth £300 (AU$455) each and referring to themselves as "Valandy" in a tongue-in-cheek gesture. The invitations were also reportedly couriered to every guest to ensure they didn't fall into the wrong hands. They report: "Each invite consisted of a hardback pale grey box etched with Nick and Holly's logo in white which is their initials intertwined. It's like nothing anybody has ever received before."
According to their unnamed source, the wedding will kick off with a cocktail affair in Beverley Hills on September 28, the official ceremony and black tie dinner and dance reception in a beach-front Malibu location on September 29, and then a less formal poolside BBQ on September 30 to wrap the proceedings.
Guests of the pair are believed to include David Walliams and girlfriend Lara Stone, 'X Factor's' Simon Cowell and also Princess Beatrice.
While the mirror also suggested a "fireworks" display, Holly was quick to laugh that off on Twitter. She tweeted: "In LA County, fireworks R ILLEGAL & R banned in all areas. T/Fire Service & LAPD will seize any fireworks. There goes my "spectacular" LMFAO".
The pair were engaged in December last year in the Maldives after they started dating in late 2009. Holly tweeted the news via a photo of the words "WILL YOU MARRY ME" in flames, with the caption "And I said YES!!! ♥ Happiest day of my life!!!!! Xxxx"
Given Nick's billionaire status, the couple have asked guests to donate to Alzheimer's Research UK or Disability Rights International in lieu of gifts.
