“Harry Potter” alum Daniel Radcliffe might have spilled the beans on his secret marriage to his longterm partner, Erin Darke, during the 2024 Emmy Awards on Monday.
Radcliffe, 34, who is nominated for his role as “Weird Al” Yankovic in Roku’s musical biopic “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” made the mention during an interview on the award show‘s red carpet with Laverne Cox.
“What was it like playing a real-life person?” Cox, 51, asked Radcliffe, adding that she knew that Darke is a huge fan of the parody singer.
“Honestly the people whose opinions I care most about the movie were my in-laws,” Radcliffe told the “Orange Is the New Black” alum.
“They are huge Weird Al fans and kind of got me into it,” he added. “So, yeah, they were very happy.
“Thank God,” he laughed.
It was later confirmed by Radcliffe’s rep that the pair are not married.
Radcliffe’s remark comes after he and Darke, 39, welcomed their first child — a baby boy — in April 2023.
Monday’s awards show also marked a rare appearance for the couple, who have kept their relationship out of the public eye for the most part.
The pair, who have been together since the 2012 film “Kill Your Darlings,” initially announced in March 2023 that they planned to start a family.
In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, Radcliffe revealed that he was worried about his performance as the parody songwriter due to the fact that his in-laws were such massive fans.
“I’m most concerned about their reaction is probably my in-laws, Erin’s dad and brother,” the “Horns” star told the outlet. “Because they’re massive fans as well. Erin’s seen the movie but I’ll be interested in what Ian thinks. I really hope he likes it.”
This is not the first rumors have swirled around a supposed marriage between Radcliffe and Darke.
In 2014, Darke’s father, Ian, shut down rumors that the couple were tying the knot.
“I can tell you, it’s not true. There is no marriage or engagement,” Ian told the Flint Journal, per Michigan Live, before declining further comment.
