OTS systems from C4R can be delivered with electrical actuation. This one is on its way to a customer Portugal. The system will easily handle more than 50 kg on the end of a 2 meter pole. Thanks to Tunc Harbut from Promar and Matthew Zimmerman from FarSounder. This was a great sea trial. The ARGOS 350 and the hoist solution from C4R performed at its best all the way up to 18 knots. Despite the high speed, the system showed to be vibration free at all times providing the best working conditions for the ARGOS 350. #usv #marinesafety #forwardlookingsonar

Not long ago C4R was asked to do a over the side pole mount for an unmanned vehicle. I am not allowed to share any information about the project, but I ended up using the OTS mini fitted with an electric actuator. On a 1,5 meter pole length, it easily lifts 120 kg out of the water! Now, this was on a remotely operated vehicle, but it might also be a very nice feature on small survey boats. Imagine setting and retrieving your OTS unit by flicking a switch. By the way, the OTS mini has been tested with a very large transducer (ø400mm) at 6 knots without any vibrations thanks to the C4R delivered fairing. The OTS mini is the lightest portable OTS system on the market with only 17 kg. as shown on the picture. So, if you need quick mobilisation, this is the way to go, with or without automatic set and retraction! #survey

That was excellent! It is a pleasure to work with you and your team. Doing installations on everything from very large icebreakers to small remotely controlled military boats is a perfect challenge for C4R.
