With "Interregno" (1980), the Swiss composer and inventor of instruments, based in Brazil, Walter Smetak, opened a new field of exploration within his own musical universe, which combines Afro-Brazilian ritual traditions, theosophy, microtonal studies, collective improvisation and the use of unconventional musical instruments. In this second album by Smetak, microtonal guitars take center stage in combination with an electric organ, supplemented by instruments created by the artist.

This reissue reproduces the much sought after 1980 edition published by Discos Marcus Pereira. It includes the catalog of instruments used and presents the remastered audio.

Con "Interregno" (1980), el compositor suizo e inventor de instrumentos, residente en Brasil, Walter Smetak, abrió un nuevo campo de exploración dentro de su propio universo musical, que combina las tradiciones y rituales afrobrasileños, estudios microtonales, teosofía, improvisaciones colectivas y el uso de instrumentos musicales inusuales. En este segundo álbum de Smetak, las guitarras microtonales ganan protagonismo combinadas con un órgano eléctrico, con el añadido de los instrumentos creados por el artista.

Esta reedición reproduce la buscadísima edición de 1980 publicada oír Discos Marcus Pereira. Incluye el catálogo de instrumentos usados en el LP y cuenta con sonido remasterizado.
