Say hello to Aífe, Queen of the Seelie Court & the next love interest for The Good People / Na Daoine Maithe!
There are many things that could be said of Aífe Ealabhàn, Queen of the Seelie Court, and not all of them are especially good: Flirtatious, dramatic, and a primadonna to the core, the Queen is often perceived as vain and unserious, concerned only with matters of beauty, decadence, and maintaining the status quo.
To tell you the truth, however… despite her silly and sometimes vapid disposition, the Queen has a tenuous relationship with many in her court — particularly the loyalists of the old regimen, whose own figurehead still roams the palace halls. They all love Aífe’s flair for fashion and find her bombastic antics an entertaining spectacle, but her reign and rise to power has been cloaked in mystery, murder, and so-called divine intervention from the very start. Given this, one must begin to wonder… is she truly as she presents herself to be, or is it a facade to mask something more sinister?
Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Then again, given the state of the Unseelie Court… maybe there’s another reason Kings are dropping like flies.
