Exploring Zacatecas, Mexico: Sipping on the Traditional Elixir ‘Aguamiel’

In Zacatecas, Mexico, in the morning, en el centro, you can find a man with a mule carrying three clay jugs secured by wooden beams positioned on either side of its back. The jugs are corked with a rolled maguey leaf, and passerby’s stop to fill their cups for the price of 20 pesos (a little more than a dollar) with a sweet, viscous drink known as aguamiel.
