One of my favorite restaurants during my 10 day vacation in Portugal. I highly recommend making a reservation online, it is quick and easy! Otherwise, it may be difficult to get a table.

I came for a dinner and sat outdoors on their patio on the upstairs floor. It wasn't cold at all because the patio was covered. The cocktails are delicious, especially the gin ones.

We ordered many different dishes to share but my favorites were the ceviche, beef cheek and octopus rice. However, everything was absolutely delicious and you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.

Service was good and they had wifi :)

A beautiful establishment with an amazing tapas selection. Lots of seating inside and outdoors on their patio. The wine selection was great and I recommend the croquettes and shrimp. Definitely check it out.

I really wanted to like this spot but was disappointed. We waited 45 min for our table on a weeknight. The potato's bravas were mediocre at best and seemed not freshly made. The meat plate portions were limited. The sangria was good but overpriced. Wil not revisit

We went somewhere else after for our full dinner

Tapa Bucho did not disappoint. One of the best ribeye steaks ever. Tender and juicy. Comes with ground sea salt on the side. Cooked perfectly for me. Medium is like medium-rare to some.

Next dish was portobello mushrooms with a fried egg on top. This was perfectly paired with the steak, coincidently.

One more dish was fried pork belly. Crispy skin and soft, tender pork.

The waitress was kind enough to let is bring our own wine. Apparently, that isn't a thing in Lisbon like in the States.

The whole bill including tax and tip was $45. Easily $85 in the States.

This is a special place. We ordered seconds on the tuna tacos. The local meat and cheese board was perfect. The service was charming and efficient. Prices were reasonable for the quality. A highlight of our trip to Lisboa.

Great tapas In Bairro Alto. The address listed here in Yelp is wrong (they moved). It's R. do Diário de Notícias 124, 1200-141 Lisboa, Portugal, around the corner.

We didn't have a reservation - were told no reservations available for the terrace. We came early 7PM on a Monday and got a table.

We shared a charcuterie meat and cheese was amazing but a little too much. We got the bacalhau tempura, black angus steak, shrimp in garlic sauce and ** the star tapa ** portobello mushroom with a delicious sauce and egg on top. Everything was delicious and fresh but the portobello really stood out.

We made steak and eggs the next morning with the leftover steak, cheese and bread!!

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating of my beginner Portuguese and the upstairs terrace was very comfortable.

Prices are a little on the high side for Lisboa but still as others mentioned, much better than the US.

      We will be back.

A travel planner friend for Lisbon suggested this place for dinner and it did not disappoint!! The food was the most delicious AND affordable! Not to mention the service from our favorite Beatriz was incredible, they were so helpful and friendly. All the drinks and food came out in a timely manner. We recommend this tapas restaurant SO much. we loved everything, but our favorites were the tuna tartar tacos, ribeye, romaine lettuce and codfish tempura! (Basically everything we had). Not to mention the dessert. Simple menu with a little bit for everyone.

This place is really popular, we had no idea we were supposed to make reservations, but we got in anyway. A bit pricey, but worth it. Drinks are good, and the food is amazing. The tacos were my favorite.

The food was good but I do not recommend this restaurant. With so many wonderful options in this amazing city, we were disappointed to find a server who was...the best way I can describe it is aggressively indifferent. It seemed we were a bother to him. The ambience was also a bit tired and sad. More than half the light bulbs were out. We escaped as soon as we could to enjoy the beautiful evening. Apologies to the chef who did a lovely job.

Pretty decent spot tucked away in a alley in Barrio Alto.
We lucked out and came in around 8:45 and to our surprise were seated quickly. I was shocked at how small a restaurant it was since counting the tables and seats it only seats roughly 20-24 people at a time. Shortly after we arrived people starting lining up outside to get in. Perfect timing on our part!

The atmosphere here is super low key with a good playlist. If you aren't into taking it down completely while enjoying bangin' tapas spot - this is not for you.

As a starter we order 2 ham coquettes which were divine! Great flavor and fried light. There wasn't an overflow of oil.
We also got the bread spread with olives. The bread was very fresh and the butter spread, one herbed and one with tomato was a great compliment. Marinated olives were great!

Shishito peppers: fantastic with a mayo spread.

Mushrooms Teriyaki: oh my lort!! How dare they make mushrooms this damn good. Seriously. Just straight disrespectful.

Pork Cheek Cauliflower Mash: So damn good. Cauliflower was well mashed it almost looked like a bed of polenta.

Ox tail tacos: This dish proved to me that if you are not into refined foods, Portugal just is not the place for you. This was succulent dripping in the moistness and tender fat the oxtail was cooked in. Fuckin' banger for sure.

Overall this place is a steal and had great eats. Just beware it is a small place so good luck on getting a table. I do recommend waiting it out if you have to.
