Pani Agua is a Caribbean and Seafood Restaurant and Hookah Bar. Come have a drink - we recommend the champagne mojito, smoke some hookah in our Hookah Lounge in San Juan and have some Puerto Rican food.

Such a gem! We were waiting for a food tour in the square and decided to grab a cocktail before it started and what a surprise! The mojitos come in a variety of flavors and Chris ( super handsome bar manager) made one after another and each was better than the next. The hookah and the food smelled so good we came back the next night. We had the ribeye skewers, octopus, sliders, and a bunch of small bites. The food portions were generous and our server on night number two, Lali was also super cute and excellent t.
Great drinks, great service, a real hidden gem.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 185103152Feb 2, 2024
Vibes and great hosts are here.
Loved this place instantly. Walking in they were playing 90s/2000s r&b and our hosts were friendly and welcoming from the start. It's great, they serve tapas, drinks, and hookah.
What we ordered:
Bacalaitos (homemade cod fish fritters): light and crunchy!
Rib eye skewers: flavorful and had to get another order!
Coconut shrimp: great crisp here!
Mussels and wine: so savory and so good!
Highly recommend the blue melon and ladykiller shisha together for the hookah . Very refreshing and didn't feel heavy at all! Soo good! I like playing around with the smoke and "trying" tricks out but the ceiling fans and wind from the open door made it not possible at all but not a deal breaker.
As a lady, one thing I found odd was there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The paper towels was there for all your needs.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Dec 18, 2023
TLDR: Good food, wonderful ambience and great service
We walked in to Pani Agua late night on our first day visiting Puerto Rico. While it was difficult to find food post 11 with their new regulation, Pani Agua was one of the few and really offered great options.
They even offered to switch beef for chicken in their sliders. Our host Rashelly was really polite and helped us make custom drinks to our taste!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Resha M.Brooklyn, NY1052851Nov 15, 2023Updated review

As you can see for yourselves the owner also leaves rather aggressive comments on unfavorable reviews.
For added context on her comments so you can make your own decision whether to come here:
None of us initially entered this restaurant with food from another location. After reviewing the menu, one friend decided she would prefer a sandwich from the stand outside so she went to get one, fully intending to not eat in this restaurant because we know it is disrespectful.
However, this same friend was also considering buying a drink and she had asked the staff/owner if she ordered a drink if it would be ok for her to eat her sandwich also. Rather than politely saying "no we would prefer you to not do that" they responded in a rude tone and demeanor. (Similar to how the responses are to these reviews, probably same person)
The waitress who was not the owner was decent. She wasn't rude.
Also regarding the owner's comment that we were "upset when we came in". Thinking back the only thing we were likely upset about is that there were not many options available that were serving food at that time, which is external to the situation. But we try to make the best of each situation and had this restaurant been a better experience she would have been able to witness that as well, but unfortunately that wasn't the case.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

I don't believe that any comment was aggressive. We have a policy that we cannot eat food from outside. Now, if you want - I can post the interaction. Your friend did not ask nicely, she spoke in Spanish and when I answered in English she rolled her eyes. Her exact words were "Im going to eat a sandwich on the table". My exact answer to her was " Unfortunately, we don't allow any outside food in our tables, but you can take a look at our menu". She did not say anything after, she rolled her eyes and went back to the table.
Im unsure how this all would categorize me as rude as I had no other interaction with your table. Im not trying to create a mess of this at all but being accused of something I haven't done is definitely not cool.
And you guys walked out with the food in to go trays. Im sorry you believe there was any kind of rude behavior but there wasn't .

We are sorry you were not allowed to eat outside food in our restaurant. Its a very common rule most places have.
And we were not asked any questions about the hookah. Also your group was rather upset when you came in. We can upload your cc tv footage so you can see.Feb 25, 2023Previous reviewStaff is not very responsive. They took a long time to acknowledge us at our table. When they finally did half of our group had been turned off from ordering. Some still did, the food took forever to come and was not good, overcooked and unseasoned. When we asked a question regarding the hookah they responded rudely.
