I've been here a few times and keep meaning to leave my review. There's no time like the present! My husband and I stopped in last night and took our seats at the bar. We were promptly greeted by the lovely bartender, Linda. She was super friendly and quick with service. We weren't quite sure what we wanted to drink so she gave us some beer samples to try as we contemplated our selection. I opted for the Nor'Easter which is a juicy IPA. Very good! For dinner, I ordered the Classic Burger with Parmesan fries--super yummy!

The decor in this place is Farmhouse style and all about the 4-legged floofs that we all know and love-- hence the name "Old Dog". It's a great vibe with a nice menu selection. My daughter loves the Steak Frites, and my husband raves about the Fried Shrimp Tacos. There is something for everyone. In the Summer, enjoy your beverage and meal on their covered patio!

Last night was a real treat with getting an added history lesson of the building, which is one of the originals to D-town - which was founded in 1808. Linda even shared a ghost story with us and added its how one of their beers got her name (Rosa's Haze)!

This brewery has been the most successful business to exist since it was The Little Brown Jug. Serving the community for 5 years and going strong! If you get the chance, stop by and show this Old Dog some love!

A solid 3 stars - our server was in training and had a trainer with her, so they were overly attentive and checking on us a bit too frequently, but thats not the worst.

Went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30pm - I had a Ace Cider, a side Caesar salad (fresh lettuce, good croutons, light on dressing. was much better once I got extra dressing to give it flavor), and the crispy shrimp app. The shrimp was good sized, minimally drizzled with the pao sauce which is where the flavor was, and a flavorless "house slaw" as the base. The shrimp was a little bit over fried, but the dish would of been flavorless without the pao sauce.

Also ordered two cookies - chocolate chip and a fruity pebbles. The chocolate chip was alright, and the fruity pebbles cookie sucked and is still sitting in a to go box in my car, and will soon meet the trash. I certainly would never order dessert catering from here based on my purchase.

It's a pretty restaurant, appeared fairly clean and wasn't too crowded feeling. Employees were very nice and smiley, but the food isn't enough of a draw to have me returning. I really am not a beer drinker, so cannot comment on the actual brew portion of the brewery, but my friend liked 4 of the 5 beers she had.

Overall, an ok experience but nothing to make me excited to return.

Came here on a Sunday right at open and walking in the decor was super cute and the space was clean and neat. We were greeted right away and sat down outside on the patio and able to place our drink orders. For a place called "Alehouse & Brewery," the beer choices were incredibly slim. My party ordered a couple of stouts, an old fashioned, and a spicy mango margarita (cocktails were great!). We had to ask for glasses for our Dragon's Milk bottles (the only dark bear they had).

We ordered the charcuterie board which we enjoyed, however for the high cost it seemed a bit lacking in food items. The pretzel was great though! Our food came out shortly after but we were a bit disappointed the food was basically lukewarm. I'm thinking it was made too quickly after the appetizer so they waited to serve it. Despite this, our food was pretty delicious. I enjoyed the steak frites which was cooked well and the chimichurri sauce was awesome. My party also enjoyed the crispy shrimp tacos, the chicken tacos, and chicken pesto croissant. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the portions were a nice size. Overall a bit overpriced but we had a nice experience here and would go back. Hopefully the food will be warmer next time!

Just left. Saturday at 2pm. We had a party of 6, 4 adults and 2 children. We were the only people waiting. We were told 45 minutes which is fine since we were a "large" party. I had a simple request. I said we are willing to split up into 3, didn't need to be near each other at all or even seated at the same time. So just treat us as two parties of 3. She told me it would still be 45 minutes since there were still 6 of us. Then a party of four walked in, and were seated right away. The logic lol. I asked if they had a reservation and they did not. Then I politely questioned why we didn't get seated. She told me she didn't make the rules Rude rude rude and unwelcoming host staff. Would not recommend. We walked over to old bag of nails and had a great experience and they have a great outdoor bar area!

I've been to Old Dog Alehouse before, and I've always liked it, so when I was nearby with a friend I suggested we check it out again. We called ahead to make sure we could get a table and they put us on the waitlist from the phone. When we arrived our table was ready, and the place was pretty packed. We were greeted quickly by the waitress, who told me their menu recently changed, and there were several things I was interested in checking out. Including lots of vegetarian and gluten free option. However, when I found out they had gluten free Mac and cheese I had to have it. I'm so glad I did because it was delicious! Thick noodles, and so cheesy! The side salad I got was great also. My friend LOVED the salmon dish- he said it was the best he'd had in awhile. Service was wonderful, a really nice beer selection and a cute place overall.

I have always loved coming here after they created this place!! The drinks are awesome, who doesn't love a good flight? Their giant pretzel is to die for!! I love the vibes, it is very big, open & well lit with natural windows. They have a bakery & a perfect room for a private lunch/party/rehearsal dinner. Their bartenders are so great & nice!!

When I go downtown this is usually the first place I think of when I want to go out with friends. The food is good and I enjoy their beer selection.

Great patio for people watching, we went on a Thursday night and the place was full. I definitely recommend making a reservation before going. Our server was great! For apps we ordered the miso Brussels sprouts and the giant soft pretzel, they were both wonderful. I ordered Fish and Chips for my entree, with a side of their miso slaw. My husband got the fish tacos. Both entrees were really good, my husband said my fries were the best he ever had. We were both really impressed with the food and will definitely be back. Very small menu, but we saw burgers coming out that looked amazing so that will be for our next visit. Definitely recommend!

The staff was amazing and they were accommodating to my health needs... And the steak was good; however, the portion of meat was tiny for a 30 dollar bill... It said steak frites on the menu but that's a small portion for as much as they charge...You say NY strip on a menu for over 25 bucks and I assume a whole steak...

We go here often and always enjoy the experience. The place itself is decorated nicely and the patio is my favorite to sit at. We always have quick service and good food and when we have get togethers with our family we like to go here since seating is spacious and easy to arrange for larger parties.
