    • Q:

Does this park have any shaded area where we can chill with our furbabies?

      A:

They have trees that provide you with ample shade, but not any umbrellas or structures that provide shade. Hope that helps :)

The view is tranquil and the paths natural. Lots of places to stop and enjoy. It's large and a great place to walk. Careful of the wildlife though. It is a coyote haven. Weekends are crowed with the baseball fields in use but mid week mornings are a bit of peace and quiet

Hidden away in a residential area, featuring restored wetlands, baseball fields, shaded picnic area, playground and grassy field - and a loop trail around the edge of the basin.

The trail is a relaxing walk. Depending on time of year, you may be able to spot wildflowers, birds, rabbits, etc. There's not much in the way of shade - it's almost all scrub - but it has a couple of scenic viewpoints, and part of it runs close to the wetlands. The pond usually has water in it, and often has ducks, geese, and other waterfowl.

This place is secluded within a local residential neighborhood but is thoughtful enough to have it's own parking lot, to not interfere with the residents and creating parking issues or noise pollution nor any congestion or inconveniences that public venues often do to quaint neighborhoods.

It's an "okay" park and has a nice big tree in the fields where the children's play area is, but that play area playground play set is smack in the middle of the field where if it's sunny and hot, is not shaded at all, so logistically isn't really ideal for babies, toddlers and kids to play for any long duration or if it's blistering hot and the equipment absorbs that heat and then some.

They have a nice track to run around as well as a reservoir type looking man-made lake area (which at the time I went was drained or dry) and a picnic looking area as well as a basketball court.

Overall, it's "okay" but not the South Bay's best or one of the top parks when evaluating it's overall aesthetics, functionality and offerings.

It has niche appeal that's unique in many ways that can bring this to a * * * * higher rating depending on your specific needs and wants you're looking for.

This place is amazing! Great for kids that are three and like slides. There is an enormous slide. Bigger than the normal slides that you'd see at other parks.
There is a pond that is beautiful at sunrise and sunset. I bet you should go there.

This park is so hidden, had it not been for Google maps I would have never known about it. The park has dirt trails (perfect for dogs), baseball fields, playground equipment, and a pond for wildlife. It's almost like a nature preserve with kiddie equipment.

My son and his friend had a great time exploring and looking at wildlife. My best friend and I were shocked that this park even existed. We never knew about this park despite actively searching for new parks in the area for 5 years!

This park is worth checking out!

Great park when the pond is full. My son loves seeing the ducks and geese. The bathroom was out of soap and the playground equipment definitely needs some TLC or a new one entirely. The blue material on the steps are cracking. Would come here again for a walk but not for play equipment. So much potential if it was given more attention.

Well kept park in my neighborhood. Always fun to walk, see what's going on at the pond (ie, water level, birds) and talk to Jeff the park ranger. Available clean rest rooms and shaded picnic area are pluses. Nice break during quarantine periods. But, don't tell too many people.

Just had my son's 2nd birthday party here and it is great! Part of the park has about 10 picnic tables and a couple BBQs. You cant reserve in advance, but we went at 8am the day of the party to start setup, and no one else was there on a Saturday. We set up a 10x10 tent some balloons and decorations. We had about 25-30 pple and there are bug trees for shade. It was relaxing, fun, and we would definitely have another party there. You cant bring any tables there, but the picnic tables are sturdy cement, so they work great!

I took my daughter here for a play date during winter break. It is nestled in a neighborhood and I had no idea it existed (living in the south bay for over 25 years now). It has a large pond with ducks, walking/biking trail, kids park and it looks like a new baseball field complete with batting cages.

Great big park to spend the day with the kids.

I only come here during the day . I appreciate the hills to walk up and the grass spaces that I'm able to run out dogs on when knowone is at the park . The grass could be trimmed a little more often . The layout with the pond and natural surroundings are niche thought . I really have a hard time with not seeing this park ever patrolled by anyone . Also I only come during the day because of the about of homeless people I've seen in the lark . Also there are clearly drug addicts and other homeless people that know to come here and park and sleep in their cars . It's so noticeable because you see them passed out in their cars . Knowone has ever bothered us thought , so that's good .
