El Itacate

Came in here because the yelp reviews were very good.... Definitely did not disappoint! The fajitas were delicious, and my son loved and devoured the green burrito. The server was very friendly and attentive oh, and I cannot forget to say that the salsa that they bring to the table with the chips.

We've driven past this place for a while and decided to check it out.

They do serve alcohol and don't charge for Chips and Salsa.

We opted for Pozole, Birria Burrito, and a Birria Quesadilla.

The pozole was served with my desired toppings. Some places serve it with lettuce, I prefer cabbage. Some also serve it with Oregano, I prefer Cilantro. The others enjoyed the Birria Burrito and Quesadilla, but did say they like the Birria at another spot we frequent.

The waiter was attentive and eager to provide good service.

They have a nice mural on the wall.

They do have an extra charge if you pay with card.

We will return.

This is the most amazing of all the Mexican restaurants in the PNW. The chef has a magic bag full of love. Everything on the menu is delicious authentic Mexican cuisine

Probably my favorite Mexican restaurant this side of the Narrow Bridge. Great service every time. I usually get the carne asada street taco combo platter with rice and beans or Burris tacos with consume. Both pack a lot of flavor but also a lot of oil. The tortilla for the street taco often falls apart due to the oil which would be my only negative. I also recommend the margaritas, great sizes and a ton of flavors to chose from. If you want some serious heat ask for the habanero salsa 10/10. I would buy it as a stand a line if they bottled it.

Went here today , since i kept seeing it . So here we go. I am a sucker for Birria Tacos okay! But i was slightly disappointed.

I order the birria plate , you have to order the consumé by itself it doesn't come with it , but it wasn't that expensive. Too me the picture didn't match the food so that was a little uh.. yeah but it's okay. The rice was decent , and beans was okay. Consumé 6/10

The set up was really nice and vibrant, but too close to the road for me . My service was nice but, his voice was just a little low so it was hard to hear somethings he was saying.


Id say go there for a quick snack.

I'm giving this 5 stars in the Food Truck category, so don't compare to fine dining establishments. This has become our favorite food truck joint for breakfast burritos and Birria tacos, quesadillas, & burritos. Service is always friendly & efficient, but they can get backed up during the lunch hour. Ambiance? It's a truck in the parking lot of a gas station. There are two tables where customers can eat if not taking their order to go. The truck itself has a nice paint job and the menu items & prices are easy to see. Prices here are more affordable than a sit-down restaurant. The food is really good. Most recently we tried the Birria quesadilla which was so good - a crispy flour tortilla stuffed generously with Birria meat and gooey queso. This may be my new favorite menu item. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Finally, authentic and delicious Mexican food! We're new in WA, Yelm specifically, and this beats Porta V. and mayans... out the water!!!

I drive by this place every day and I'm always curious. Today I just needed some Mexican food and I'll tell you this place did not disappoint. Pollo en Mole is a favorite of mine; when it's not good you know a place is not it. This was so delicious. I'm a bit embarrassed how much didn't make it into my Togo box. Service was great. The hostess was my server & bartender, but she didn't miss a beat. Will be coming again and will bring friends.

Amazing birria burritos.
Every ingredient in the burrito is delicious.
It's a must to order it with cheese.
I think about them often and go at least once a month.

I get it to go, so don't care about the ambiance.

They also have a tasty hibiscus drink they recently added.

Prices are reasonable for the taste and serving size.

Damn... how have I never been here? We decided to pull over because the restaurant was cute. The food is so amazing and it's also authentic, which to me is key. Not subpar, amazing staff and service too. Will definitely be back. The pozole was amazing and the broth was to die for. The birria was also great.
